Q1What is the scope of your responsibilities?

I am engaged in route sales of cosmetic containers to major cosmetics companies, which are our clients.
Our main focus is to receive orders for new products, but the specific work flow is...
The first step is to get information from the customer about the launch of a new product project.
Then, based on the image of the container for the new product, we hold a meeting with members of the related in-house departments.
We then provide the customer with rough design drawings and quotations that match the plan.
Once an order for a product has been successfully accepted, we will work with the customer from detailed design, prototyping, proofreading, mass production, and delivery.
The sales person is responsible for negotiating and coordinating with the customer and the relevant internal departments and factories.

Q2What do you enjoy and find challenging in your daily work?

First of all, I enjoy the fact that I am given a lot of discretion.
We are dealing with products with a high degree of difficulty, so we often find ourselves in difficult situations in our daily work. In such a situation, I am able to directly face customers as the face of the company with the cooperation of various people in the company, which is a very valuable and gratifying experience for me. I also appreciate the fact that the products I am in charge of are introduced in TV commercials, SNS, magazines, etc.
It is a rewarding experience and motivates me to spread more containers made by Yoshida in the world.

Q3Are there any difficulties or challenges in your daily work?

"The flip side of fun is that you have a lot of discretion and a lot of responsibility.
Since I am the direct point of contact with customers, a single action by me could erode Yoshida's credibility with them. I tackle my daily tasks thoughtfully and with a sense of responsibility every day."

Q4Why did you join Yoshida Industries?

I've always loved packaging so much that I "package-buy" myself. During my job search, I was attracted to our company, which handles cosmetic containers for major cosmetics companies as one of our main customers.
I also value interaction with my work colleagues, so the fact that I could sense a homey atmosphere during the interview was also a deciding factor."

Q5After joining Yoshida Industries, what is your impression of the company?

My first impression was that our company is highly regarded and trusted by our customers.
Therefore, I felt that I, as a new employee, should not lose the company's trust.
From the very beginning of my employment, I felt a sense of self-consciousness, despite these tensions in my daily life.
The at-home atmosphere in the company allows us to work while helping each other through difficult times.
After work, we often get together for drinks and joking around, regardless of whether we are bosses, subordinates, or in different departments.
Now I have made friends in the company that I even meet with on my days off to go camping or bouldering together.

Q6Have you seen any changes in yourself since joining Yoshida Industries?

I feel that I have gained the ability to see ahead of time actions and events that will happen and make more suitable decisions.
This is the result of standing between the customer and the company as a sales representative and negotiating a lot.
I believe this is a skill that has come naturally to me.
Since assuming the position of sub-leader, I have also begun to think about things from the standpoint of a manager.
One of the joys of my job is watching my subordinates grow in their daily work.

Q7What kind of work would you like to do at Yoshida Industries in the future?

In the past, I have often had to think about how to respond to customer requests, so in the future I would like to become more sensitive to the world's trends and be able to propose new things to customers ahead of time. I would also like to experience the phenomenon of a container I was in charge of becoming a "buzz" product someday.

Q8Please provide any message to prospective applicants.

"In recent years, we have had an increase in the number of younger employees, and I have the impression that it has become even easier for everyone to engage in friendly competition.
Also, as long as you have a sincere attitude toward your work, the people around you will help you out, so you can take on new challenges.
I think it is an environment that is easy to work in.
Let's take on many challenges without fear of failure, and together we will send out cosmetic containers filled with ideas to the world!"
