Contributing Materials to “Asobi University” in Sumida City
2025.5.30 As part of our commitment to supporting child-rearing and contributing to the local community, our company provides materials for “Asobi University,” a hands-on learning initiative held in Sumida City, Tokyo. “Asobi University” offers a space where children can freely play, create, and learn by engaging with a variety of materials. These materials—such as fabric, paper, urethane, plastic, and metal—are donated by local factories in Sumida and are affectionately referred to as “Sumi-Dakara” (Treasures of Sumida). Using these resources, children are encouraged to freely express themselves through creative activities. This initiative, which nurtures children's creativity and independence, was highly acclaimed and awarded the Grand Prize (Prime Minister’s Award) at the 18th Kids Design Award in 2024. The materials provided by our company are also being used as “Sumi-Dakara”.With these resources, children are empowered to explore, express, and bring their ideas to life through creative activities. Through this ongoing support, we aim to help foster children's rich sensibilities while also sharing the joy of craftsmanship and the importance of utilizing local resources.
